Chorus participants
Recruitment summary
For practice, we prepare practice materials by professional conductors, voice trainers, and pianists. Participants can practice until they are satisfied at their favorite time. Even beginners will be able to sing just by singing along with the practice video.
Recruitment part and number of recruitment
We are looking for all parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bus). There is no limit to the number of people recruited (target 1,000 people). If you don't know your part, watch the practice videos for each part and choose the part that is easy for you to sing. If you have experience in chorus, you can challenge other parts and post videos in addition to your own part.

Persons belonging to NTT Group companies and their families, OBs / OGs, members of the NTT Chorus, etc.

Please prepare your own sheet music.
* We recommend the Bärenreiter version of the sheet music, but you can use any version.

Can even beginners participate?

Beginners are welcome. Through "Ninth", I would like you to know the joy of classical music and chorus, and feel the power of "Ninth" music. Please enjoy the deep and attractive "Ninth" that even experienced people can get new awareness every time.

Can I improve with just online lessons?

By imitating and singing while watching a practice video sung by a professional, you will be able to sing a German song for about 15 minutes. You can also improve the expressiveness of music by explaining how to utter, how to read the score and conducting.

I can't make a loud voice at home, can I practice?

Vocalization practice (abdominal breathing) enables stable vocalization. You don't necessarily have to have a loud voice when singing. If you can use the strength of the sound in three stages, the expressiveness of the song will be high enough.

Can you enjoy it remotely?

It is different from the style in which participants sing side by side on the stage in the venue, but it participates with the energy of the music that aggregates the singing voice of each participant and the sense of unity by the distribution video in which all the participants appear. Both the viewer and the viewer can experience the excitement of the ninth power.

How long is the practice period / amount and how much is the participation fee?

The practice period is about 2 months from the end of September to the end of November. You can watch and practice as many practice videos and orchestra videos as you like, when you want. Participation fee is free. If you are satisfied with the video recording, please post it to the executive committee.

I am not quite sure to sing the full of 17 minutes chorus part.

Singing entire chorus part is recommended for your more satisfaction, so your challenge is greatly anticipated. For beginners, however, posting only well known “Letter M” on page 39 of the scorebook may be okay.

Is it okay to sing with my friends/family and take selfies with them?

Okay! but please note the more the number of people get together the smaller your faces in the final video. All of your names/nicknames however, will be listed on the end roll of the final video, so please do not forget to fill in all the names if needed.
